History

The history of Corby Photographic Club can be traced back to the mid-1930′s when a number of enthusiasts employed by Stewarts and Lloyds Ltd. formed the Stewarts and Lloyds Recreation Club, Camera Section. Since then the club have met in various sites in Corby, before moving to their present headquarters in Stanion Village Hall.

The club has developed into a weekly event, with lectures, competitions and even outdoor photoshoot sessions during the summer months. These summer meetings are held around the county, starting earlier in order to take any pictures before dusk. It is always a social evening and there is usually a nearby hostelry for anyone to take advantage of before wending their way home.
